Superficially similar to Helipterum craspedioides it produces a clump of relatively large, bright green leaves from which arise many flowering stems reaching as much as 40 cm in height. Each stem is topped with a flattish disc surrounded by small petals. Each flower can be as much as 4 cm across and carry hundreds of small yellow flowers. Grows in a wide range of soils in full sun in either a pot or the garden.
Germination period 10 to 25 days. Minimum contents 200 seeds
